Winning Insight grew out of nearly a decade I spent in an MLB front office, where I built the decision systems behind player acquisition, player development, and in-game strategy. Early on, I learned that math gave me a language to connect my competitive nature and ideas about the game into new strategies. And honestly, few things compare to seeing an iconic on-field moment trace back to something you built.
From statistical models in R to deep learning pipelines in Python, my technical work has helped teams adapt faster, uncover hidden insights, and win more games. But I also learned that the edge doesn’t come from algorithms alone. It comes from buy-in. I focus on framing technical challenges in terms of key decisions and critical feedback loops coaches, scouts, and executives trust.
The key lesson has followed me beyond baseball: teams win significantly more when elite systems are woven directly into the organization’s culture. Bringing that approach to teams looking for a greater competitive edge is what excites me about my work at Winning Insight.
